Hi!
Im making music for an Avid film project. Using Cubase SX- is it best to use 48000 hz, 32 bits during the whole process, or do I have to stick to my soudcards 24 bit? Its not going on any audio cd, only to aif on a data cd. What is the best file format/hz and bits to send off to get mastered?

Hi Mod,
please let me apologize for the delayed reply. It is best if you send the project at the sample rate you have worked in all the time and at the highest bit-depth you can export at. In your case this would be 32bit floating point and it also makes sense to mix at this resolution to have the advantages of this format - especially if the music is very dynamic.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, I would be glad to answer them.
Regards,
Lorenz |
