Nervous at first, delighted in the end

Must say that the band and me chose XARC with a bit of nervousness. You know, getting stuff done online, not meeting the guy, will he understand what we are after, will WE understand what he may suggest, etc. etc. Plus, we are a rock band (Kastadyne) from a home studio in India wondering if we'd get a professional sound to the final release of our eleven-song, maiden CD.

Great relief and happiness, at last. Lorenz is da man! Though we had a couple of hiccups on the time scheduling issues, the work itself is no less than clean and magical. You can tell he has spent time and effort on each and every song. No uniform, cookie-cutter approach here. When we asked for changes, they were carried out quickly and professionally. You can tell the man loves his job!

He can sometimes be blunt in his critique of your work. So watch out if you are sensitive. But if you try and be objective about your work (SO difficult to do!), you will realize he has a point. I'd just say, go ahead and heed his advice, he knows what he is doing. In fact, based on his comments, we re-did the mix of one song on the CD and sent to him for re-mastering. All for the better.
