Decibel

A measurement unit for ten times the logarithm of the ratio of two powers. Depending on the base level , the decibel symbol,dB, will be followed by a letter. dBA - "A" weighted decibel. dBB - "B" weighted decibel. DBC - "C" weighted decibel. dBm - A decibel level in which Pb equals one milliwatt of power dissipated into a 600 ohm line. DBV-A decibel voltage level.
